Course Orientation

Welcome.

Welcome to Grow Your Business with AI & Social Media.

This orientation explains how to prepare for the training, how the sessions will be conducted, and what is expected from you as a participant.

The goal is to help you come into the training prepared and make the most of your learning experience.

How the Training Is Structured

The training runs for one month.

Each session is designed to build on the previous one. Participants should therefore attend the sessions in sequence and complete the required activities before moving ahead.

The training may include:

  • Instructor-led sessions
  • Demonstrations
  • Guided practical exercises
  • Individual activities
  • Questions and discussions
  • Review and feedback

The exact schedule and session times will be provided by RAiN.

What You Need Before the Training

Please come prepared with:

  • A smartphone or laptop
  • A reliable internet connection
  • A charger or power bank
  • A notebook or digital note-taking method
  • Access to your relevant online accounts
  • Any files or materials you may need during practical sessions

Prepare Your Working Materials

Before the first session, organise any materials you may need during the practical work.

These may include:

  • Business or brand name
  • Business logo, if available
  • Relevant photographs
  • Existing documents or files
  • Existing promotional materials
  • Relevant Social Media account login access
  • Other information specifically requested by the instructor

You do not need to create new materials specifically for the orientation. Simply have your existing materials accessible.

How to Participate

To get the most from the training, attend the scheduled sessions, arrive on time and take an active role in the activities.

During the sessions:

  • Listen carefully to explanations.
  • Follow demonstrations.
  • Complete assigned activities.
  • Take notes where necessary.
  • Ask questions when you need clarification.
  • Participate in discussions.
  • Follow instructions during practical sessions.
  • Post comments and requests in your lesson discussion.

For online sessions, join from a place where you can concentrate and participate without unnecessary interruptions.

If you experience a technical problem, inform the instructor rather than remaining stuck.

Practical Session Etiquette

During practical sessions:

  • Follow the instructor's instructions before making changes to accounts or settings.
  • Ask for clarification before taking an unfamiliar action.
  • Keep your login details private.
  • Do not share another person's private information during class.
  • Save your work regularly.
  • Keep important files organised.
  • Respect other participants during discussions and group activities.

Using External Tools and Information

Some activities may require participants to work with online tools or information outside the course material.

When doing so:

  • Use only accounts you are authorised to access.
  • Protect your passwords and verification codes.
  • Check information before relying on it.
  • Be careful when entering personal or business information into third-party platforms.
  • Follow the terms and requirements of the platforms you use.

Your Learning Notes

Keep your notes and completed exercises together throughout the week.

You may use:

A physical course notebook

or

A digital course folder

A simple folder structure can help:

RAiN Course
→ Notes
→ Exercises
→ Drafts
→ Final Work
→ Resources

Keeping your work organised will make it easier to find and review later.

Questions and Support

You are encouraged to ask questions in your community. https://www.rain.com.ng/academy/learn/community

Ask when:

  • You do not understand an instruction.
  • You need an explanation in simpler terms.
  • You encounter a technical difficulty.
  • You need clarification about an exercise.
  • You want to confirm whether you have completed a task correctly.

There is no benefit in pretending to understand something you do not understand.

Ask early so you can continue confidently.
