Welcome to the RAiN Expert Foundation Training.
In this module, you will learn the RAiN implementation methodology.
RAiN does not operate as a freelance marketplace where Experts accept loosely defined projects and decide independently how to deliver them.
Every RAiN project follows a structured implementation process.
This process ensures that the business, the Expert, and the RAiN operations team have a shared understanding of the project outcome, responsibilities, deliverables, and quality standards.
The RAiN implementation lifecycle has eight stages.
The first stage is business intake.
During intake, the business submits a service request through the RAiN platform. The request includes information about the business problem, existing workflow, desired outcome, available systems, implementation timeline, and operational constraints.
The second stage is requirements validation.
At this stage, the request is reviewed to determine whether the selected package matches the business need. Missing information is identified, assumptions are clarified, and the project scope is confirmed.
The third stage is Expert assignment.
RAiN assigns a qualified Expert based on package eligibility, relevant skills, availability, implementation history, and project requirements.
Experts should only accept projects they are qualified and available to complete.
The fourth stage is discovery.
The Expert reviews the business request, studies the existing workflow, asks approved clarification questions, and confirms the information required to begin implementation.
Discovery is not an opportunity to redesign the entire business. Its purpose is to gather the information required to deliver the approved package.
The fifth stage is solution configuration and implementation.
The Expert builds, configures, integrates, or deploys the agreed solution according to the package implementation guide.
The Expert must follow the defined scope, milestones, security requirements, and technical standards.
The sixth stage is testing and quality assurance.
The Expert tests the solution against the package acceptance criteria. Testing should cover normal operations, incorrect inputs, missing data, integration failures, user access, and recovery scenarios where applicable.
The seventh stage is business handover.
The Expert provides the agreed documentation, training materials, credentials, operating instructions, and support information.
The business must be able to understand and operate the implemented solution without depending permanently on the Expert.
The eighth and final stage is project acceptance and closure.
The business reviews the completed deliverables. RAiN verifies the submitted evidence, outstanding issues are resolved, and the project is formally closed.
Throughout this lifecycle, the Expert must maintain accurate project records.
Important decisions, approvals, risks, configuration changes, test results, and evidence of completion must be documented inside the RAiN platform.
A successful RAiN implementation is not simply a working piece of technology.
It is a solution that addresses the agreed business problem, works reliably, meets the package requirements, and can be safely handed over to the business.
In the next module, you will learn how to understand business requirements and separate genuine requirements from assumptions, preferences, and requests that fall outside the project scope.
